I received a BS in commerce and business administration with a major track in health care management from The University of Alabama in 2005. In 2019, I earned a MBA in health care administration from Valdosta State University. I found my calling in long-term care during an internship with the QIO for the State of Alabama, where I traveled to 36 skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), providing education. I secured an administrator-in-training program position in Birmingham, Ala., and became licensed in 2006. I transferred to New Mexico for my first administrator position at the age of 23. Since then I have spent my career managing SNFs in Alabama, Georgia, and New Mexico, with multiple specialties including: CCRC, ventilator/pulmonary, high-volume rehab, behavioral health, assisted living, independent living, and Alzheimer’s/dementia. I’ve held licenses as a NHA, Licensed Nursing Home Preceptor, and Category II ALF Administrator. I found my home at Haralson Nursing and Rehab in October 2018, and love the opportunity to serve the community of Bremen. Long-term care has always been my calling, and I find joy in assisting, supporting, and solving problems for my residents and team members.

Director of Nursing

I started my long-term care career as a CNA. I have been a nurse since 2000, when I graduated from West Central Technical College as an LPN. I later returned to Floyd College to complete my associate of nursing degree in 2004. I have worked in a doctor’s office, the renal floor in a hospital, and in long-term care. I continue to work in long-term care as it is my passion. I love the field of geriatrics and taking care of my residents. I have been at Haralson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for 15 years and have served as the director of nursing since 2019.

Lynn Campbell, RN

Assistant Director of Nursing

I have been in the health care field for over 30 years. My work experience includes the following: hospital, overseas nursing, director of women’s health in public health, director of nursing in community health, and director of women’s services for the Georgia Department of Community Health. I also managed the Georgia Department of Public Health Family Planning Program.

Nursing has offered me the opportunity and joy to serve in a vast array of areas. In the hospital setting I worked in cardiac and oncology nursing overseas. Working overseas afforded me the opportunity to travel and to be able to appreciate other cultures. My nursing experience ranges from pediatrics to women’s health and adult health.  A master’s degree in project management provided me the opportunity to serve as a director of special projects.

I have worked at Haralson Nursing and Rehabilitation since July 2018. This was my very first time working in a nursing and rehabilitation center. The foremost reward has been the residents. The icing on the cake is their smile, which is heartfelt, when they ask for you by name.

Social Services

I obtained a master’s degree in social work from Clark Atlanta University and a bachelor’s degree in human services from Kennesaw State University. I am a former mental health therapist, where I provided group, family, individual, and play therapy. I am a dedicated and empathetic professional with a strong work ethic. I have 10 years’ experience and training in serving the community, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with continuum support in mental health. My empathy and compassion for helping others, problem-solving skills and passion for enhancing the lives of others led me to the field of social work. I enjoy geriatric social work. I love to help families and patients find solutions to help address the numerous environmental challenges that come with aging and advocating for seniors and their families.

Michele McCormick

Business Office Manager

I have worked in long-term care for 20 years. I started my career in 1997 at Carrollton Nursing and Rehab. I received my medical administrative assistant degree in 2010, and worked as ward clerk, which gave me the opportunity to work with the business office. After a year of working as ward clerk I was brought into the business office as the business office assistant where I assisted the business office manager and trained under her for six years. I have been at Haralson Nursing and Rehab since 2017 as the business office manager and have expanded my knowledge as well as shared what knowledge I have.

I wouldn’t change my job for the world. The life lessons and knowledge that we all learn from the people we meet in our facility are invaluable, and the memories that are made are ones that will always be remembered.

I have been working at Haralson Nursing and Rehab since 1999. I started my career working as a CNA until 2003, when I became receptionist and also assisted payroll and Medicaid. I worked my way into admissions, becoming the director in 2018. I have always had compassion for working with elderly and persons with disabilities. This facility is like a home, and all the people that come here are family.
